Police nab fake ambulance driver

A man has been arrested in Bangkok for using an ambulance to deliver drugs.
Det Chanatheeraroj, 26, was nabbed at a condominium parking lot in Klong Chan, Bang Kapi district, early yesterday.
Police said the suspect was driving an ambulance to deliver drugs to a
businessman. A total of 120,000 methamphetamine tablets and three
kilogrammes of crystal meth were seized from the ambulance.
The vehicle, registered as being owned by a rescue foundation, was
obtained through a friend employed by the foundation, according to Pol
Maj Gen Chaiporn Panich-atta, deputy Metropolitan Police Bureau. The
suspect was being pursued on a previous charge of extortion committed
in Pathum Thani. Police searched the ambulance when he acted
suspiciously during the arrest.
