Corporation’s response

When the corporation responds to the request for records, it must specify for each record requested:
• whether it's a core record,
• the estimated cost to examine or make a copy of the record, and
• the location where the records will be available for examination in person.

Refusal to provide
If the corporation refuses to provide access to a record it must include in its response the reason for the refusal and state the provision in section 55(3) of the Act or the regulation on which the the refusal is based.

The owner
After receiving the corporation's response, the owner needs to send a reply confirming which records he wants, along with payment of the requested fees.
